Giving a home a new lease of life
A six-week refurbishment programme by Hall Brothers has transformed the Colchester home of Nick and Fay Coathup – and they are ‘absolutely thrilled’ with the results.
The couple, who live with their three children, bought their home 15 years ago and decided to make a number of improvements. The project included a new staircase, Oak flooring throughout the ground floor, internal and external bi-fold doors, fully glazed internal doors and a stable door at the back of the house.
Fay says: “We first heard about Hall Brothers when our neighbours were having work done and saw just how good the finished results were. When it came to our own refurbishment, we got in touch and spent a great deal of time with Philip sharing ideas and options, benefitting from his extensive experience.
“We discussed all different elements of the plan including our wish to brighten up our dining room which was rather dark. This was achieved by making an internal Oak bi-fold door to allow light into the room from the front door.
“The project lasted six weeks and we were so impressed by the politeness and consideration shown by every single member of the team working in our home. All stages were handled carefully which removed the stress completely – in fact we missed them when they left!
“We are absolutely delighted with the results which have transformed our home and given it a new lease of life. We certainly could not have done it without Hall Brothers’ help every step of the way.
