FIRST-CLASS RESULTS WITH MINIMAL DISRUPTION
The company has undertaken a number of projects for the Rushmers over the years. The most recent project created a large bespoke oak porch together with matching front and garage doors. Internal works included enlarging their hallway, installing a handmade Oak and glass staircase and wooden flooring, as well as creating a new cloakroom and utility room.
During this project, Oak bi-folding doors were installed between the hall and the dining room, opening up to create a flexible space for entertaining together with new internal oak doors throughout the ground floor to complete the contemporary theme.
Previous projects included replacement of two sets of hardwood French doors and the alteration of the windows in the lounge to form an enlarged French door with full-height glazed side lights.
James says: “Right at the start, we contacted Hall Brothers and Philip came out to talk to us about the project. I had an idea of what we wanted and together we came up with a more detailed plan and then drawings. What really impressed me throughout was the care Richard took with lasers to set out the buildings works to minimise the effect of the walls, floors and ceilings being out of level.
“This care and attention to detail was also demonstrated when undertaking major structural works such as demolishing walls to enlarge the hallway. Again everything was carried out with thoughtful planning and concern for us living in the house whilst the works were underway – including putting up polythene screens and having specialist machines to suck up the dust at the end of every day.
“The meticulous planning and consideration led us back to Hall Brothers for future projects, confident in the knowledge that not only would we end up with a first-class job, but the process would be as stress-free as possible.
“All the work was finished on schedule and to a very high standard – with lovely quality Oak and an old-fashioned pride in the job. Quite simply we are delighted with the results and enjoy living in our new-look home on a daily basis.”
